Good vegetables start on the farm. As farmers, we know the work that goes into them and want to bring the harvest straight to you. SaisonBox combines buying personally from a producer with the ease of ordering from home.
An idea from everyday farm life
The first concept for SaisonBox took shape in 2010, followed by the founding of SaisonBox GmbH in Gossau in 2016.
Our apps grew out of what we needed on our own farms. They help with ordering, packing and delivery. For you, this means you can choose and add to your SaisonBox, adjust your subscription and find your invoices in one place.
Your producer remains your contact for vegetables and delivery. We look after the app and invoicing.
The people behind SaisonBox
Markus Bernhardsgrütter
Markus founded SaisonBox and is responsible for marketing as co-managing director. He is a farmer and qualified agricultural technician HF and runs BioHofMädertal in Gossau SG, selling directly to customers.
Matthias Ruoss
Matthias is co-managing director and responsible for finance and controlling. A farmer and qualified agricultural technician HF, he also runs the leased Büelhof Bio farm in Hüttwilen TG and knows farm work from everyday experience.
Charlotte Ruoss
Charlotte handles accounting and administration. She has a commercial qualification and has been part of the team since 2019.
How SaisonBox has grown
More producers have joined since the early years. In 2020, we introduced new apps for customers, farms and drivers and partnered with the Swiss Farmers' Union. The packing app followed in 2021, along with an agroPreis nomination, where SaisonBox placed second out of 58.
Since 2022, AboBox has also offered a solution for farms that want to serve their customers under their own brand.
